Nottingham Rockets v....... GREAT BRITAIN!

After having seen the GB Women’s Volleyball team in international action in Sheffield over the summer, this Saturday the 24th of July Nottingham Rockets Ladies will be meeting Team GB on the sand! As part of their Money 4 Matches fundraising campaign, the GB Women’s Volleyball team are cycling 250 miles from their training base in Sheffield to London’s Olympic Park. After recent funding cuts, the GB squad are looking to find donations and sponsorship to support their competitive schedule ahead of London 2012.

First stop on their cycling tour will be Nottingham’s Market Square where they’ve challenged Nottingham Rockets to a match on the new beach volleyball court.

All Rockets, please come down to the Nottingham Riviera at Market Square from 5.00pm onwards to support the Rockets girls and cheer on the GB players as they set off on the next leg of their journey.

More information including how to sponsor the GB Women’s Volleyball team can be found on their Money 4 Matches webpage. Please donate and get behind them in the run up to London 2012!!

Good luck to Nottingham Rockets!
